Kathmandu—Civil servants have also joined the ongoing protests. While teachers have been protesting in Kathmandu, civil servants have now started their movement as well.

Among their various demands, one of the key points is to include health services within the civil service. In their tenth demand, they have stated, “Incorporate health services and parliamentary services into the civil service and develop them as specialized services.”

The protest programs began on Friday, and a memorandum will be submitted to the Federal Affairs Minister, the Law Minister, and the Chief Secretary. On Monday, the civil servants’ organizations plan to submit a memorandum to the Speaker of the Parliament, the secretaries of the relevant departments, and the Chief District Officers through district committees.

On the 10th of Baishakh, the protest coordination committee will be announced, and a rally will be held in front of the Parliament Secretariat on the 12th of Baishakh.
